Read This, Please!

Apathy has set in. People are resigned to losing a professional sports team here in my hometown. I can't imagine it. I don't want to live in that world. I have had a difficult time the past few years summing up for non-sports fans the value of pro sports in the community. People don't like to hear about the hundreds of small businesses it keeps in business. People can't act on past warm fuzzy feelings.

This article on espn.com sums all those things up pretty well. Read it. And if you still don't think we need to keep a pro basketball team in Seattle, then I suppose we can agree to disagree - as long as we agree you're stupid.
